Golden Shadows

Curated by Rukh Art Hub, Golden Shadows explores a realm beyond the fear of otherness, visualizing treasures revealed through acceptance of the shadow’s luminous nature. The exhibition celebrates the veiled inner essence of our intrinsic selves, paying tribute to the collective soul of humanity. The works invite viewers to embrace their arcane counterparts as an alter-ego to the public persona they present to the world.
The central theme of the exhibition is the female image, representing women who are wholesome, courageous, and strong. These figures, with their gleaming presence, link the past, present, and future with extraordinary grace. The layered nature of Golden Shadows transforms the exhibition space into a boundless realm where each viewer can discover their own symbols and meanings in the works of Kolesnik and Albitska-Kostomarova.
Tata Kolesnik is a distinguished artist known for her exploration of the multifaceted spiritual domain through vivid, realistic imagery. Her unique style blends the metaphorical sensitivity of the Renaissance, the refined symbolism of religious iconography, and the naive allure of traditional Ukrainian motifs. Kolesnik’s opulently painted portraits transport viewers from the dullness of earthly life into the lavish splendor of heavenly realms. Her work has been featured in The First Ukrainian Auction in London and in numerous art shows and charity exhibitions across the United States, where her art has been instrumental in raising funds to support Ukraine.
Tetiana Albitska-Kostomarova is a renowned sculptor whose work reveals the mysteries of the physical world with unadorned sincerity. Her provocative sculptures celebrate physical life in all its manifestations, with toned bodies and closed eyes ready to embrace their own physicality. As part of her creative focus, Albitska-Kostomarova recreates famous paintings in stone, sharing the beauty of these masterpieces with the visually impaired. Her sculptures are displayed in galleries and museums across Europe and the United States, and featured in prominent collections across the globe.
